What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Loan Processor position at AMERICAN BANK OF FREEDOM?
Responsible for various aspects of loan operations and the management of the loan files from loan processing to documentation of commercial, residential and consumer loans. This would include the renewal and modification of existing loans. Assist other loan personnel in various duties to ensure the successful operation of the department.
DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist with gathering documentation from prospective and existing customers.
- Complete internal checklists ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures with accuracy for all new loan requests, renewals and modifications of existing loans.
- Review and analyze entity related due diligence to determine good standing, signer or potential risks.
- Identify all exceptions and any missing documentation; work with Loan Officers and others to clear exceptions revealed on searches (i.e., liens; judgments; title exceptions; corporate structure; etc.).
- Complete UCC searches and file new UCC’s when appropriate.
- Pull flood determinations, obtain signatures and flood insurance if needed.
- Request and review hazard insurance and flood insurance for adequate coverage amounts.
- Provide required compliance documents to consumer in accordance with federal regulations and adherence to compliance policies.
- Complete required documentation in Laser Pro following the approved loan request.
- Perform pre-closing review of loan file to determine completeness and accuracy and that all exception items have been resolved before presenting for review prior to closing.
- Schedule/coordinate title company closings; prepare closing instructions.
- Coordinate funding of loans via wires/checks.
- Upload new loans from Laser Pro to Fiserv, completing all required fields.
- Disburse loan expenses and perform any other required file maintenance.
- Complete HMDA data and Beneficial Ownership worksheets.
- Assist customers with loan advances, payments, loan questions/inquiries, etc.
- Complete required training associated with job function and perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Good computer skills including knowledge of word and excel functions.
- Must be able to work with detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
- High level of interpersonal skills to interact with others in a professional manner.
- Adequate knowledge of internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of job duties.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associates preferred.
- 1-3 years banking or loan experience preferred.
- Understanding of loan structures, Laser Pro loan software and Fiserv Core system preferred.
Salary : $25 - $30
