Accounting Manager (hybrid)

In this hybrid role, you'll assist with reconciliation processes, support strategic initiatives, handle financial reporting for multiple entities, and serve as a trusted partner in maintaining compliance and operational excellence - all while empowering respiratory care professionals nationwide.

What You'll Do

• Complete monthly account reconciliations and ensure financials are accurate and up to date
• Manage core accounting functions, including month-end close, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit preparation
• Maintain strong internal controls and support process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance
• Provide cross-functional support across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash receipts, and general accounting to maintain workflow continuity
• Serve as a dependable backup to Finance leadership, contributing to analysis, planning, and strategic initiatives
• Work within multiple accounting and association management systems to prepare and analyze financial data
• Meet deadlines within the monthly close calendar and complete required filings, including sales tax and PAC reports
• Support grant billing, reconciliations, and cross-department collaboration to resolve financial issues
• Partner with external vendors, including CPAs, auditors, and technology teams, to ensure accurate financial statements.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including reconciliation and month-end close responsibilities
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control best practices
• Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions
• Professional communication skills to internal and external customers and team members
• Urgent resolution and solutions for financial tasks and issues
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience supporting or supervising accounting staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
