Job Summary:
American Architectural Products Group is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager (PM) to support our custom architectural millwork fabrication and installation projects. This role is ideal for someone 3 years into their construction project management career, looking to develop expertise in project coordination, budgeting, and execution within a specialized sector. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the PM will focus on managing project details, supporting project management teams, and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external project management teams to ensure seamless execution of fabrication and installation.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and compliance paperwork.
- Assist in procurement and material coordination, ensuring materials arrive on time and align with project requirements.
- Monitor and update project schedules and budgets, identifying potential risks and working proactively to mitigate delays.
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation, contracts, and quality control measures.
- Ensure smooth communication between all project stakeholders to optimize workflow.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress, update reports, and streamline coordination.
- Conduct periodic progress reviews to verify that project milestones align with expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 years of experience in commercial construction, architectural millwork, cabinet installation projects, or related project coordination roles.
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with millwork, architectural products, or specialty construction materials is required.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Fieldwire, CoConstruct, Buildertrend, or similar is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Understanding of material coordination, scheduling, and project documentation best practices.
- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting project management teams.
- PMP certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
