Essential Functions
- Develop Accessible Features: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to implement new user-facing features and components primarily using React.js (including modern Hooks) and its ecosystem.
- Full Front-End Ownership: Utilize expert-level skills in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6 ) to translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-perfect, and fully responsive code.
- State Management & Logic: Implement efficient global and local state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Recoil, or React Context) and architect reusable, modular component libraries.
- Performance & Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience across all devices and modern browsers.
- Collaboration & Review: Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality, standards, and accessibility compliance.
- API Integration: Integrate front-end components with back-end services using RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Accessibility Champion: Act as a key resource for the team to ensure all development meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This includes implementing proper WAI-ARIA attributes, semantic HTML5, keyboard navigation, and robust screen reader support.
- Testing: Implement unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library to ensure high code coverage and application reliability.
- Attend on-site meetings and trainings.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable and predictable job attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Front End technologies; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong knowledge of React. Familiarity with frontend development technology stack.
- Ability to approach complex problems logically, identify discrepancies, and develop efficient solutions.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication. Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Thoroughness in code writing, testing, and documentation. Commitment to producing high- quality, well-structured code.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements. Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them effectively.
