Overview
The Cybersecurity Intern will support the Information Security team in monitoring, analyzing, and protecting enterprise systems and data. This role provides hands-on experience with cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response support. The intern will collaborate with experienced security professionals, contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment, and gain exposure to industry tools and frameworks.
About The Internship
The expected duration of the internship is 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2026, approximately 35 hours per week. This is a hybrid role based out of the AAA’s headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. The hourly rate for this position is $25.

Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products; exposure to scripting or security tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand, analyze, and document technical issues and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Eagerness to learn and apply cybersecurity concepts, tools, and frameworks
