The American Arbitration Association (AAA) seeks an experienced and strategic Assistant Vice President to supervise case management operations across its Consumer Division. This role is responsible for directing day-to-day case administration, ensuring quality service delivery aligned with AAA’s mission and standards, and advancing long-term operational goals in collaboration with division executives. Key responsibilities include leading personnel, overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance with procedures, and serving as an advocate for dispute resolution in the business and legal communities. The AVP will also mentor arbitrators, promote continuous improvement, and drive excellence in customer and panel relations.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement; candidates must reside at a U.S. location within 125 miles of their assigned office location. Compensation will be determined based on geographic location.

Compensation ranges by location are as follows:

- Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Philadelphia, PA; San Diego, CA; Voorhees, NJ: $155,000 to $165,000
- Boston, MA; Los Angeles, CA: $160,000 to $170,000
- New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA: $170,000 to $180,000

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in the legal industry or court system.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proven ability to apply independent judgment to complex issues.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting legal and procedural documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and familiarity with case management systems.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams and maintain focus in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated adaptability with emerging technologies, including AI-related tools.
