An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer to join our team in Newport, Tennessee. Our facility is experiencing strong new product growth, and we are looking for someone who is hungry for the challenge, energized by opportunity, and ready to make a measurable impact.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, partnering with operations, and driving quality improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
- Actively support and drive quality control and quality assurance processes across production
- Partner closely with manufacturing teams on the shop floor to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, prints, and GD&T requirements
- Assist with new product launches, including quality planning and validation
- Develop and maintain inspection standards, control plans, and procedures
- Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCA/CAPA)
- Monitor and improve process capability, scrap reduction, and yield performance
- Work within environments involving metal components, coatings, plating, or similar finishing processes
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience in quality engineering, quality control, or quality assurance
- Background in component manufacturing (metals, stamped parts, machined parts, or plastics preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- GD&T and print reading
- Dimensional inspection methods
- Engineering specifications and surface finishes
- Comfortable working on the production floor daily
- Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving methodologies and quality tools
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) – preferred but not required
- OR Associate degree / technical certification with strong practical experience
- Solid foundation in:
- Mechanical principles
- Basic chemistry (finishing, plating, coatings a plus)
- Mathematics and dimensional analysis
