About the Role American Anthracite is seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our surface mining and processing operations. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our material handling, responsible for safely operating heavy front-end loaders to move run-of-mine anthracite, feed processing plants, and load haul trucks.

Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate large front-end loaders to excavate, move, and stockpile raw materials, refuse, and finished anthracite coal.
- Plant Support: Maintain a steady and consistent flow of material into the processing plant feed hoppers, ensuring operations run without interruption.
- Truck Loading: Load articulated and rigid-frame haul trucks accurately and efficiently, preventing overloading and spillage.
- Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections. Report any mechanical or safety issues immediately and perform basic routine maintenance (greasing, clearing debris) as required.
- Site Safety: Strictly adhere to all MSHA regulations and internal company safety policies. Maintain clear communication with ground personnel, plant operators, and other equipment drivers via two-way radio.
- Site Upkeep: Assist with general site cleanup and road maintenance around the active mining and processing areas as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating large front-end loaders (e.g., CAT, Volvo, Komatsu) in a mining, quarry, or heavy industrial setting.
- Safety First: A strong personal commitment to safety and a solid track record of incident-free operation. Current MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 Surface Miner training is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for extended periods, handle the physical demands of operating heavy machinery, and work in varying weather conditions (dust, rain, cold, heat).
- Communication: Excellent two-way radio communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with a larger crew.
- Reliability: Excellent attendance record and a strong work ethic. Ability to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as operational needs dictate.
