What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIE POLISHER- Die shop position at American Aluminum Extrusion Company?
Position Summary:
The individual will ensure that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting and polishing dies, enrussing they are properly stamped and support tooling fits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Polish dies
- Load, start and monitor nitrider.
- Assist die chasers and fill in when necessary.
- Operate and utilize overhead crane and jib crane in moving dies.
- Operate a forklift as directed.
- Ensure that the cleaning process of the die is maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures, including forklift and crane inspections and documentation.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Cross-train, learn and support other functions or processes as required.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work with tools or other measuring equipment.
- Able to read a tape measure
- Ability to train on how to operate forklift and crane.
- Ability to complete accurate documentation and work on the computers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, working safely.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- Two years of consistent work experience in the Manufacturing industry.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete physical tasks as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
