GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the supervisor and the guidance of others as assigned, the janitor will ensure the cleanliness of the manufacturing facility, including internal and external areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Empty trash cans and bins, both the interior and exterior of facility.
- Sweep entrance, office, and break room areas.
- Mop entrance, office and break room areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all restrooms within the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning toilets, sinks and urinals.
- Maintain all supplies and submit inventories as needed.
- Any other tasks or duties as assigned or required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Ability to use steam cleaners, vacuums and buffers.
- Ability to read warning labels on containers.
- Excellent organizational skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to all types of temperatures.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead.
- Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly.
- High degree of attention and care required to operate in a safe manner.
- Use of appropriate safety equipment is necessary.
- OT hours may be required.
