What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter (Manufacturing--Powder (weekends Fri-Sun 15% shift premium) position at American Alloy (formerly Badger Sheet Metal Works)?
FRIDAY-SUNDAY 6AM-6PM (Work 36 hours, paid for 40)
Position
The Painter prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finish coats using the full range of applications methods and materials; mixes and matches paints and finishes; performs inspections, clean ups, storage and disposal of paint products; and operates various tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with various paint spray systems
- Possess a keen sense of attention to detail
- Process effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of powder coating
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must perform all duties in conjunction with OSHA and WISHA requirements
- Follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs
- Operate Forklift
- Keep work environment clean, safe and orderly
- Communicate to management about machinery and quality issues as they arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
