  • This job is a member of the Ground Aviation Safety Action Program (GSAP). If you are looking to make a difference and have an opportunity to elevate safety in ground airport operations, this is the position for you.
  • This position will be responsible for performing analysis of GSAP data and other relevant data to identify potential risks and opportunities, performs risk and root cause analysis, interfaces with subject matter experts (SME) to identify causal factors, and evaluates current processes and procedures for effectiveness.
  • This job is also responsible for preparing reports related to the GSAP for senior leadership.
  • There will be opportunities to present to various groups and senior leadership as determined by the Manager.

What You'll Do

Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

  • Assists with projects and process studies for the GSAP to promote Safety in preventing accidents and incidents while enhancing Company policy and compliance.
  • Collects & categorizes information concerning GSAP reports prior to the Event Review Committee (ERC) meeting. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating with other departments, supporting the ERC with their report evaluation, categorization, and disposition.
  • Identifies & Analyzes safety and compliance trends and concerns arising from the GSAP including preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. The ability to tell the data story is essential.
  • Creates Event Review Committee (ERC) Agendas for weekly meetings
  • Facilitates and maintains Event Review Committee (ERC) meeting minutes, attendance, and action items.
  • Participates/Interacts and Interface with various departments, FAA and labor union members of the ERC for information sharing and corrective actions.
  • Develops safety & compliance materials including posters and power point presentations to represent the department in meetings as required
  • Interfaces with other GSAP teams sharing, analyzing, and reporting information
  • Any other duties assigned by the GSAP program Manager

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, or aviation related field or equivalent experience in airport ground operations
  • 3 years’ experience in aviation industry
  • Experience in metrics, development of dashboards and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to perform his/her duties under strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Ability to travel (25%)

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Skilled in the use SCEPTRE, TABLEAU, CERS, SHAREPOINT, and WBAT or similar complex database system
  • Versed in the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Knowledgeable of company/operational policies and procedures
  • Experience in Safety Management Systems (SMS) principals
  • Data analysis experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to self-manage time schedule
