What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waste Water position at American Air Filter International?
Description:
- Mixes chemicals for water treatment or uses premixed chemicals.
- Maintains water treatment work and production records.
- Rakes sludge beds and shovels dry sludge for disposal. Follows correct procedures to avoid wasting dirt.
- Takes periodic samples of the cement clear water pond and maintains accurate sampling records.
- Performs minor maintenance on the equipment such as the pumps and baler.
- Dumps waste, pressure washes, scrapes bed walls, paints, and performs other housekeeping duties in the environmental area.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Basic math skills are required to be able to measure chemicals, understand gauges, and determine the amount of water used.
- Reading and writing skills are necessary to be able to keep accurate records and to read formulas and procedures.
- Must be able to follow the chemical formulas.
