The HIM Clerk performs a variety of clerical and related support services required in the general operation of the Health Information Management Department. He/She assembles charts in an established order, files all loose reports, performs release of information, retrieves and files records and abstracts/indexes patient health information.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of general medical terminology preferred
- One year in a health care related field, preferably in Health Information Management
- Typing minimum 40 wpm
