What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Technician position at American Advanced Management, Inc?
The Wound Care Tech will assist the Wound Care Coordinator with patients receiving wound and/or lymphedema care. The Wound Care Tech is responsible for applying wound dressing as directed by the Therapist or RN. Takes and prints photographs of weekly wound assessments, maintains adequate levels of inventory, reports changes in patient status and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of certification program for nursing assistants
- Related undergraduate work preferable
- One to two years nursing assistant experience, LTACH preferred
- Trained and re-certified annually in CPR
- Familiarity and training in use of equipment, department methods, and procedures
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English; math skills required
