Therapy Technician/Rehabilitation Aide - San Francisco
Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for performing routine rehabilitation procedures within a designated program set up by a licensed therapist, with the goal of maintaining an optimal functional level for the patient. Responsible for transporting, preparing, positioning, and in general assisting patients and therapists in the successful completion of the treatment plan.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required within three (3) months of hire.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Previous experience in rehabilitative techniques and procedures preferred. One (1) year of healthcare experience preferred. Exercise certification and/or related education preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS: Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required within three (3) months of hire.
ATTENDANCE: Regular and punctual attendance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with coworkers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as appropriate to the position.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Demonstrates active listening techniques; gains support through effective relationships; treats others with dignity and respect; seeks feedback; participates in processes to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and service; and maintains reporting mechanisms.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attends in-service and education programs; attends and completes continuing education required for maintenance of applicable license and/or certification.
