While this position does have a strong accounting and reporting focus, it serves as a broader multi-function role within a small administrative team, so day-to-day functions will vary. Traditional accountant requirements such as handling journal entries, cash management and taxes will therefore be involved with this role, but non-related functions such as assisting with general administrative activities will also be expected. A strong performer will have the opportunity for personal growth through exposure to a wide breadth of activity and growth of the Company.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate general ledger accounting activities, ensure accurate account reconciliation and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and journal entries
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Prepare and develop Company financial reports including P&L and standard reports
- Produce and update Company business operational reports
- Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, HR, Payroll, Operations, etc.)
- Partner with external accounting firms to ensure tax compliance/reporting and preparation of external reporting
- Conduct daily banking activities (reconciliation, cash management) and support banking relationship
- Manage cashflow via account management and cashflow reporting/forecasting
- Ensure compliance with payroll, tax filings (W-2s, 1099s), and benefits administration
- Produce and manage administrative and executive salaried payroll
- Manage tax payments (payroll, ACA, sales/use tax, corporate taxes, etc.)
- Insurance support including preparing for audits/censuses for workers compensation, general liability, long term disability, other benefits and other related activities
- Assist in the administration of the Accounting/ERP software
- Variety of team oriented functions including cross-training and support of other departments
- Resiliency, flexibility, organization, communication, problem-solving, positive energy, team orientation and customer service will be essential for this role.
- As the Accountant, the right candidate will provide a strong attention to detail.
- Accounting and business reporting experience will be strongly recommended for this role, and while service industry experience will be useful, it is not required.
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred.
