What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Math Teacher position at AMERICAN ACADEMY?
American Academy (AA) is accepting resumes for a Middle School Math Teacher of all experience levels for the 2026-27 school year at our Motsenbocker campus. AA teachers work in teams, planning together and working together to ensure that every student in each grade receives the same great educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Instruction of middle school math including Big Ideas, Algebra and Geometry.
- Ability to adapt curriculum to varying abilities
- Observe math instructors as part of ongoing professional development
- Work critically and creatively with Middle School Principal, Math Department Lead and Instructors to maintain and develop a robust and challenging math program
- Work as a positive team member with the Math Department and other middle school teachers to provide the best possible education
- Daily upkeep of grades in Infinite Campus and homework updates on webpage
- Maintain good parental relations and communications of progress and concerns
- Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy
Requirements:
- A Colorado teaching license with an endorsement in secondary math is preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree in a math or engineering field
- Teaching experience at the secondary level a plus
- Strong technology experience and skills
- Work experience as a math professional prior to teaching a plus
- Experience working with some of the following a plus:
- Big Ideas
- Interactive White Board
- Google Classroom
Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
