This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for recording and tracking financial activities of the organization. Tasks include recording daily transactions, maintaining accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all encompassing aspects of accounting to ensure the timely execution of closing processes. AANPCB is located in Austin, TX.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain payables, receivables, and month‐end balance sheet account reconciliations in conjunction with the accounting department team and other internal departments.
Enforce current financial policies and procedures and ensure their continued adherence.
Assist in coordinating the annual financial statement audit with external auditors.
Ability to maintain effective internal and external departmental communications and public relations.
Works with employees and management to achieve individual and organizational goals through promotion of positive teamwork.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of financial recordkeeping, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Adobe
- Detail -oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative team environments
- Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain confidentiality
- Accounting or Bookkeeping certification preferred
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience required
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus.
- Experience working with a non‐profit organization, membership organization, nursing association, state board of nursing, educational program, continuing education provider, or accreditor is a plus
