Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Pitman, NJ, with flexibility for some remote work. As an Association Services Manager, you will coordinate membership retention and growth programs, coordinate member services, and implement a robust marketing and communications plan. Responsibilities also include planning and executing events, analyzing data to enhance member engagement, and working collaboratively to achieve organizational goals. This role encompasses a dynamic range of tasks aimed at supporting the needs of AAACN members and increasing our outreach to potential members.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and analyze membership reports to determine opportunities for growth and retention.
- Analyze external opportunities to grow membership pipeline.
- Work with CEO to develop and implement programs to increase and retain association membership.
- Implement an annual marketing and communications plan that aligns with the goals and objectives of the membership program, which will include measurable metrics to be used in assessing the program’s effectiveness.
- Manage the member online community and increase engagement.
- Manage all membership-related content on AAACN's website, email blasts, social media, etc.
- Work with other departments to coordinate member-benefit initiatives (e.g., podcasts, journal club, etc.)
- Serve as Staff Liaison to AAACN membership-related committees.
- Coordinate AAACN's exhibit booth and represent AAACN at external conferences to increase membership.
- Work with National Office team on AAACN's primary member initiatives, such as Ambulatory Care Nurses Week, Annual Conference, etc.
- Contribute ideas and work with staff within the association to improve the value of membership across all aspects of the association.
- Work with members, volunteers, and department staff in shaping consistency in all member programs and communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with non-profit association or volunteers a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with a wide range of people within and outside the organization.
- Strong member service mindset and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills, including composition, spelling, grammar, and proofreading, attention to detail, and telephone/video conference call skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to learn specialized database systems, scheduling and survey programs, as well as new systems and processes. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decisions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines, follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to travel nationally 3-4 times/year.
