About the Role
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct front-line transactions with quality service to the membership.
- Receive and process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Sell consignment items, cashier checks, and travelers checks to members.
- Transfer amounts from member accounts as directed and handle safety deposit rental income.
- Transaction Management:
- Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
- Notify Head Teller of any discrepancies.
- Customer Service:
- Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services.
- Direct members to the appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Reporting and Cross-Selling:
- Prepare Currency Transaction Reports and report suspicious activity for Head Teller's review.
- Cross-sell Credit Union services.
- Miscellaneous Tasks:
- Process night drop and ATM deposits.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements
- Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and employees.
- Balance your drawer daily and accurately post transactions with minimal errors.
- Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the member.
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
- Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Requirements
- Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
- Education: A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters.
- Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Good detail handling, judgment, and ability to use an online computer system.
