America’s Finest Carpet Company is seeking experienced flooring sales professionals, or passionate, driven, coachable salespeople that are looking for that next step in their sales career. This position requires an individual to interact with customers, employees, vendors, and other managers as you assist the Store Manager and fellow sales professionals in running a successful flooring business.
Therefore, the ideal candidate must be:
- A team player
- A self-starter
- Well organized
- Able to provide outstanding customer service and follow-up
- Retail experience is preferred
- Floor covering experience is preferred, however we are willing to train the right person
- Detail oriented
- Business acumen
- Good people skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Product Knowledge:
- Develops and maintains the ability to articulate features, benefits, and warranty information for all products sold at our stores
- Develops the ability to ask questions to test the customer’s “value” for the stated benefit
- Maintains a current understanding of the competitors’ products
- Keeps up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
Responsibilities:
· Provides excellent customer service at all times throughout the day.
- Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions in order to recommend products and services that best fit the customer’s needs.
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to all products offered within our stores.
- Displays a keen understanding of local competitive offerings; recognizing and communicating the advantages of AFCC’s products and services to employees and customers
- Works with customers to create design and details, researches ideas based on customers’ plans, recommends products/services, and provides customers with project estimates consistently gaining customers commitment to close the sale.
- Schedules homes for measurement and uses detailed information to create or revise project cost estimate.
- Follows-up with customers to ensure all order and project requirements are satisfactorily met.
- Serves as point of contact on all designs and/or installs.

We service the San Diego community with unique flooring solutions and our own personal brand of service. With 5 showrooms and a diversified sales team, we service the retail, multi-family, restoration, builder, and commercial markets.
