Fish Processor

America's Catch, Inc. in Itta Bena, MS is hiring multiple positions for Fish Processor. Responsible for processing and packing fresh and/or frozen fish. May use knives, meat saws, band saws, or other equipment to perform fish cutting and trimming. Duties: load machines, clean, trim, slice fish for future processing; cut and trim fish to prepare for packing; remove parts such as skin, or bones from fillet and nugget; process primal parts into cuts that are ready for retail use; separate fish and byproducts into specified containers or conveyors; weigh into cases and stack cases of product for storage and delivery. Position requires 6 months' of seafood or other food processing industry experience. Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs.; perform fast paced repetitive tasks for long periods of time; must be able to stand for up to 3.5 hours before a break; must be able to work in a refrigerated (wet and cold) environment; ability to use tools including knives and loading food processing equipment; must be able to understand and follow instructions and safety rules in Spanish or English. Basic literacy skills -- reading, writing and arithmetic -- can be Spanish or English. Full tiime position, permanent position.
