Licensed Unarmed Security Officer

Position Summary
We are currently hiring Licensed Unarmed Security Officers for retail locations throughout Maryland. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, enforcing site procedures, and providing excellent customer service while on duty.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate entrance and exit logs for authorized individuals
- Monitor premises and assist with access control procedures
- Operate metal detectors when required by site
- Conduct routine patrols and report fire hazards, safety concerns, or alarm system malfunctions
- Report security violations, suspicious activity, and incidents to management
- Complete daily activity reports and incident logs
- Provide a visible security presence and interact professionally with staff, visitors, and customers
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Maryland Security Guard License
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to understand and follow written and printed instructions
- Must be in good physical condition and able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and respond quickly when needed
- Current First Aid Card preferred or required based on assignment
- Clean criminal background
- Must be mentally and physically alert at all times
- Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of security operations and standard procedures
- Experience working in retail or customer-facing environments
