About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Support & Systems Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with at least 2 years of hands-on experience — or a recent graduate of an IT-focused program — who is eager to grow their career in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will report directly to the IT Director and serve as a key contributor to our day-to-day technology operations. You will work across system administration, cybersecurity, physical IT infrastructure, data analytics, and broader organizational support — including assistance with select non-profit initiatives that we proudly champion.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
• Administer and maintain systems within a Microsoft environment, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related services.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, patching, and monitoring to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users in a timely and professional manner.
Security & Network Support
• Assist in maintaining the security posture of the organization by managing and monitoring security software tools.
• Conduct regular reviews of the environment to identify vulnerabilities, unusual activity, or policy violations.
• Support the implementation of security best practices across devices, accounts, and network infrastructure.
Physical IT Infrastructure
• Perform hands-on IT work including running network cabling and installing computer and network hardware components.
• Assist with hardware procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain organized and well-documented physical IT assets and cabling infrastructure.
Reporting & Data Analytics
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
• Gather and analyze data to support organizational decision-making and operational visibility.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
General Business & Non-Profit Support
• Provide IT assistance to various departments across the organization as needs arise.
• Support technology initiatives tied to non-profit partners that the organization actively serves.
• Serve as a collaborative and helpful presence across teams, embracing a service-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum 2 years of professional IT experience OR recent graduate of an IT-focused degree or certificate program.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Comfort with physical IT tasks such as running cable, mounting equipment, and building/configuring hardware.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Preferred
• Experience with security tools, endpoint protection platforms, or SIEM systems.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , or Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-900, MS-900).
• Experience supporting non-profit organizations or working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
