Purchasing Manager
AMS is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager. AMS is a nutraceutical company deals in Vitamins & supplements. You are managing the Purchasing Department, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
The purchasing Manager is responsible for coordinating purchases of various products and services for the company. They order labels, inventory, and services for all departments in the company. They secure label inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Define and pilot a procurement / supply policy (Vitamins and supplements) for AMS
- Manage all purchasing functions including Purchase Order Processing, delivery arrangements, record maintenance and reports.
- Manage all operations of the procurement process in terms of strategic negotiations with suppliers, drafting of suppliers` contracts, collaboration with other departments, to guarantee quality, costs efficiency and deadlines.
- Work with the top management to gather quotations & price information, and organize the management of purchase orders
- Maintain and provide quantifiable data for monthly purchase reports and organizational audits.
- Working with finance & accounting team regarding supplier and vendor invoices
- Optimization of the multi-site organization by controlling risks & reducing costs
- Lead teams & act as a guarantor of the good management and the follow-up of the orders
- Generate material requirements and assist in the management of inventory by analyzing the evolution of the market and the needs of the company
- Identify, investigate and resolve purchase related issues
- Develop the sourcing and referencing of suppliers and maintain direct interface with key suppliers
- Manage Netsuite processes
- Follow the rules of safety and hygiene for all processes with the QA team.
- Work with QA team to sustain the quality of the products.
PROFILE:
- 3 years of work experience in a similar position (in manufacturing is an asset)
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain, Quality and Management, or a related field is required
- Solid knowledge of MS Office Tools : Word, Excel (V-Lookups & Pivot tables), PowerPoint, Outlook
- Authorization to work in the USA for any employer
- Detail-oriented, resourceful and good analytical ability
- Strong interpersonal skills & Business Acumen with the ability to solve conflicts
- Knowledge of nutraceutical industry or supplements business is a strong asset.
