As a member of the Human Resources Division, the recruiting specialist will actively coordinate and help facilitate an effective recruitment process at America First Credit Union. This position will work with internal team members to understand hiring needs, proactively develop a pipeline of job seekers, establish and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges and universities, and continually seek out ways to attract and hire talent for a variety of positions.
Note: This is an in‑office position based in Riverdale, Utah and requires frequent travel throughout Utah, primarily along the Wasatch Front.

This position will work with internal team members to understand hiring needs, proactively develop a pipeline of job seekers, establish and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges and universities, and continually seek out ways to attract and hire talent for a variety of positions.

- Proactively search for and develop a pipeline of job seekers
- Engage with job seekers through various communication channels and methods
- Establish and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges and universities
- Increase the credit union’s visibility and presence on various campus sites
- Coordinate and help oversee on-site and off-site recruitment events
- Participate in job fairs, networking events and information sessions for hiring
- Receive and review applications and resumes of job applicants
- Understand hiring needs of assigned branches and departments
- Coordinate with HR Generalists and other team members regarding open positions
- Partner with internal teams to develop and distribute recruitment messages
- Research recruitment opportunities - continually identify ways to engage with job seekers
- Leverage job boards, sourcing platforms, and other forms of digital outreach
- Utilize the ATS to connect with job applicants
- Review and assess resumes of passive applicants for re-engagement
- Enhance and implement internal recruitment processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- May interview job candidates and extend offers of employment
Required Qualifications
- Two years’ directly related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Knowledge of recruitment practices and principles
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
- Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
- Willingness to embrace and learn new software, systems, programs and techniques
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a directly related field
- Experience in talent acquisition or campus/university recruitment
- Direct experience sourcing talent via really, LinkedIn, SeekOut and/or other platforms
- Credit Union or other financial institution experience
- Spanish language fluency (verbal and written)
