ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

AmeriBolt is looking for the right candidate to join our team in Sycamore, AL. The Material Handler is responsible for stocking finished goods, and inventory items throughout the warehouse. This role ensures that stock levels are accurate, inventory records are maintained, and materials are readily available for production needs while minimizing overstocking or shortages.

  • Organize and store inventory in the warehouse, ensuring materials are easily accessible and stored per safety standards
  • Ensure that work areas are always maintained in a neat and orderly manner
  • Maintain proper bin locations for all active inventory at specified locations
  • Post cycle counts after review and confirmation of the accuracy of any adjustments, including approvals as required by company guidelines
  • Assist in processing transfers within the system, to make sure material is transferred properly to final location
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records
  • Assist in fulfilling internal production orders and shipments to customers, ensuring inventory is properly documented and delivered on time
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols while handling materials and operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
  • Use inventory management and ERP systems to update inventory records, track materials, and generate reports
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies
  • Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately
  • Other duties assigned

EXPERIENCE

  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
  • Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
  • Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
  • Ability to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test
  • Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
  • Basic level computer skills to include MS Outlook and Excel; experience with Epicor system preferable
  • Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
  • Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
