Job Overview
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our sales team. This role combines relationship building with problem-solving. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their shredding and material handling needs, recommend equipment configurations, and guide them through the quoting and purchasing process. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through calls, emails, and on-site visits
- Understand customer operations and recommend tailored shredding and handling solutions
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
- Follow up consistently to advance opportunities
- Represent Ameri-Shred at industry trade shows
- Collaborate with engineering to meet customer specifications
- Stay informed on competitor products and industry trends
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to learn and explain technical products clearly
- Comfortable engaging with plant supervisors, engineers, and purchasing managers
- Familiarity with sales processes, quoting, and customer follow-up
Required Knowledge
- Understanding of B2B sales principles
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing or industrial equipment
- Awareness of industry trends and competitor offerings
