Teacher For The Deaf/Hard Of Hearing

In‑Person | Extended School Year (June)

We are seeking a Teacher for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide Extended School Year (ESY) services for qualifying students. This is a short‑term, part‑time assignment focused on maintaining student skills using an established curriculum.

• Position: Teacher for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
• Schedule: School‑day schedule, weekdays
• Hours: Approximately 18 hours per week
• Contract Length: 4 weeks (ESY – June)
• Start Date: May 28, 2026
• May include a few days during the last week of May for orientation/prep
• Employment Type: Part‑Time
• Location: In‑person
• Pay Rate: $45/hour

• Provide direct services to qualifying ESY students (likely 10 or fewer students)
• Student ages range from early childhood through high school
• All curriculum materials and lesson plans are already prepared
• Instruction focuses on maintaining previously learned skills, not new instruction
• ESY uses the same instructional materials as the school year

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Follow established ESY plans and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with school staff as needed
• Support continuity of learning during the ESY period

• Valid certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (state‑appropriate)
• Experience working with students across varied age levels preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently within an established framework
