We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students across elementary and middle school settings in Manitowoc, WI. The Special Education Teacher will work closely with administrators, general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and create inclusive learning environments that meet each student's unique needs.
Location: Manitowoc, WI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract Term: August-June (School Year)
Pay Rate: $55 /hour based on experience and credentials

- Elementary School: Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher (ID Focus)
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
- Maintain accurate student documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Wisconsin DPI Special Education License required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Valid state teaching certification as required by state and local regulations.
- Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
- Special Education certification preferred.
- Cross Categorical Special Education certification preferred.
- Experience working with students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) and/or Intellectual Disabilities (ID) preferred.
- Ability to comply with all applicable professional standards of practice.
- Current CPR certification, if required.
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if required.
- Current health certificate, if required by contract or state regulations.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
