?? Position Overview

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a BRITE (behavior) program at an elementary school. This role focuses on working with students who exhibit high behavioral and physical needs, requiring a calm, consistent, and structured approach.

The district’s model is built to let teachers focus on student impact, not administrative burden.

? Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with behavioral needs
• Support students with emotional regulation and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with general education staff and support teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input (no IEP writing required)
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment

?? Caseload & Student Needs

• Caseload: 5 students
• Grade Level: K–5
• Students may exhibit high behaviors and physical dysregulation
• Ideal candidate is patient, consistent, and confident in behavior management

? Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certification (Special Education strongly preferred)
• 1 year of teaching experience preferred
• Experience with behavioral or high-needs students strongly preferred
• Must meet all state and federal compliance requirements
