Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education teaching license (or eligibility)
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education processes, and instructional strategies
- Ability to support students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction in resource, inclusion, or self-contained settings
- Adapt curriculum, lessons, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs
- Support students' academic, social, behavioral, and functional skill development
- Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in evaluations, reevaluations, and IEP meetings
- Implement behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Previous special education teaching experience
- Strong behavior management and classroom leadership skills
- Experience with differentiated instruction and assistive technology
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
