Details Of Assignment
Classroom 1: Early Childhood – Preschool students with disabilities
Classroom 2: Early Childhood – 8–10 students with varying needs, including verbal & nonverbal learners with Autism (AU) and Intellectual Disability (ID)
- Traditional SPED teacher responsibilities
- Case management, lesson planning, and collaboration with families and staff
- Possible toileting/changing assistance depending on classroom
- Classroom support details confirmed during interview
- Virtual interview required
- Provide specialized instruction to early-childhood students
- Support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Implement IEP accommodations and modifications
- Maintain documentation and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, teachers, and service providers
- Communicate consistently with families and school staff
- Valid Texas Special Education Teaching certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in self-contained or early-childhood SPED settings strongly preferred
- CPR, TB screening, and health clearance if required
- Fingerprinting and district onboarding required
- Must meet federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
