Position Overview
We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in grades K–8. This role includes planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.
Assignment Details
- Location: Chandler, AZ
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: May 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hrs/week
- Duration: 5 months
- Pay Rate: $48/hr | W2 position
- Openings: 1
- Provide instruction and support for K–8 resource classrooms
- Manage a caseload of 30–35 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff and families
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Experience in self-contained and resource settings
- Current CPR (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
