- 2 Locations Available: Westmont, IL or Hinsdale, IL
- Schedule: Full time OR Part Time
Responsibilities
- Provide ASL interpretation for classroom instruction, school activities, and student interactions
- Support communication between students, staff, and families
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all educational settings
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet student needs
- Follow all district, state, and professional standards of practice
- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in interpreting, deaf studies, or related field preferred
- State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate, as applicable
- EIPA certification, as required by state or district
- RID certification, if required by state or client
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification, if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable
- Current health certificate per state or contract requirements
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
