Amergis is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support two K–5 elementary school sites in Sierra Vista, AZ. The SLPA will assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering high-quality speech and language services in accordance with the assigned plan of care. Responsibilities include clinical support, educational engagement, documentation, and treatment activities within the SLPA scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing treatment plans for students.
- Provide direct therapy services under supervision.
- Support documentation and data collection requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff to enhance communication outcomes for students.
- Maintain compliance with state, district, and professional standards.
- Grade Levels: K–5
- Sites: Two elementary schools (specific campuses reviewed during interview)
- Caseload: TBD
- Associate degree from an accredited SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders.
- Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience.
- Current Arizona SLPA license/certification.
- Compliance with all applicable professional standards.
- One year of SLPA experience preferred.
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable).
- Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Modality: School-based SLPA
- Classroom Type: General education K–5
- Bill Rate: $65/hr
