Key Responsibilities
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to incarcerated individuals
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, correctional officers, and facility staff
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and manage chronic and acute conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to healthcare and facility protocols
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis intervention
- Educate patients on health maintenance and wellness
- Current RN license in the state of Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a correctional setting is required
- Current and active BLS certification
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willing to work weekends
- Ability and willingness to work night shifts (6p-6a)
