What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teachers and Aides position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
Amergis Education is currently seeking Preschool Teachers and Aides to work in our Orange County schools.
The Preschool Teacher role develop and implement educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. They teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and personal hygiene, while maintaining classroom order and ensuring children’s safety. Additionally, they monitor and report children’s progress, coordinate with parents, and help children transition smoothly to kindergarten.
The Preschool Aide role assists classroom teachers with various duties including but not limited to supervision/care of infants and toddlers, helping with class activities, helping with mealtime, and diapering.
Requirements: Applicants must have the MMR and TDAP vaccines, a negative TB test within the last 12 months, and the School Personnel Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
For the teacher position, candidates need 12 early childhood education/child development units completed.
For the aide position, only 6 ECE/CD units are needed.
Applicants are still encouraged to apply even if they don’t meet the above mentioned requirements, as they are still eligible to work in elementary classrooms.
- Pay: $21/hour for aides, $25/hour for teachers
