Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all special education requirements.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Support students in achieving academic, social, behavioral, and functional goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Required
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and local regulations.
- Ability to effectively support students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Special Education certification.
- Elementary Education certification.
- Secondary Education certification.
- Minimum one year of teaching experience.
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement or similar credential.
- CPR certification, health documentation, and other credentials as required.
- Monday-Friday schedule
- 37.5 hours per week
