Position Details
- Location: Openings in Haverhill, MA and Lawrence, MA
- Facility Type: Emergency Homeless Shelter
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Must participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies during evenings and weekends
- Duration: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential for extension
- Pay Rate: $22/hour
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance (evenings/weekends)
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical repairs, general maintenance, and cleaning duties
- Operate floor maintenance equipment
- Lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff and residents
- Travel locally between sites as required
- Prior maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to read and speak English; Spanish bilingual strongly preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Must pass CORI and driving record checks
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Individuals with lived experience related to housing insecurity or homelessness are strongly encouraged to apply
