What are the responsibilities and job description for the Epidemiologist position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The Epidemiologist is responsible for investigating patternsand causes of disease and injury. Typically, the Epidemiologist works in anoffice and/or laboratory setting within state/local government healthdepartments, hospitals and/or universities. The epidemiologist is responsiblefor design, implementation, and analysis of epidemiological investigations orstudies and participating in general data management and report writing forepidemiological investigations or studies.

Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college oruniversity with major coursework in epidemiology, microbiology, infectiousdiseases, biostatistics, or a related field is generally preferred (a master’sdegree may be required per contract)
- Two (2) years’ experience in their field within the lastfour (4) years preferred
- Certification/Licensure may be required per state/contract
- Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
