Direct Support Personnel

Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for a Direct Care Worker to provide support in residential homes and community based settings at multiple locations in Chittenden County.

Pay: $25/hour, paid weekly

Qualifications

• Experience in a behavioral health setting
• Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle to transport residents as needed to appointments and errands within the community
• Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other Human Development Major
• High school degree or equivalent
• Routine lifting
  
  

Schedule: 37.5 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Job Duties

• Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual treatment plan
• Drive residents to errands and appointments within the community
• Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
• Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of calm demeanor during crisis
• Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
• Provide needed personal and/or medical care
