What are the responsibilities and job description for the Amergis Behavior Technician - Valdosta position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
Position requires:
- 2 years ABA (applied behavioral analysis) experience in the classroom as reflected on candidates resume
- Current Georgia Clearance Certification
- Paraprofessional Certification Required for this role. Amergis cannot act as LUA (Local Unit of Administration) as we are not an educational agency/ entity. Must already have active certification for consideration.
- If selected by the client, the candidate will be required to complete 4 hours of additional CPI training specific to school settings. This company-required training will be conducted by Amergis’ internal BCBA and must be completed prior to the start of the assignment.
The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
