Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a middle school-aged student population for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders in a school-based setting.
This role involves collaboration with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student success and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students
- Maintain appropriate caseload management and service delivery documentation
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state guidelines, and district policies
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes and evaluation reports
- Support a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment for all students
- Participate in required trainings, orientations, and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Illinois (required)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (required)
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
Additional Requirements
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
