Job Overview
Amerex Group's California Office is seeking a passionate and talented Assistant Designer to support the design and development of our swimwear collections. The ideal candidate will assist in all phases of product development and requires proficiency in design software and a passion for the creative process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee the development of lab dips, strike off's, and textures.
• Develop new trims.
• Create technical drawings and packages.
• Assist in the development of seasonal mood boards for multiple brands.
• Assist in the design process for multiple brands.
• Compile research for future color, print, trim, and trends.
• Provide support to designers.
• Hang and send out sample lines.
• Assign and keep track of style numbers, invoices, artwork files.
• Must work well in a team.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Apparel/Fashion Design
• 1-2 years swim industry experience.
• Proficient in: Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Outlook, and Acrobat
• Neat and organized is a must.
• Garment construction knowledge a plus!
Schedule: Monday–Friday, in-office.
Salary: $26.44 per hour
