- The on-going definition, development and reporting of Salomon WSE North America organization.
Main Responsibility Areas:
This role will be responsible for all Salomon WSE North America business controlling functions related to the brand. This includes overall responsibility for financial activities – financial performance and steering, budget and forecast preparation, operating expense management and control and regular financial results reporting.
- Business Controlling – Planning & Control
o Manage all aspects of the Salomon WSE North America financial budgeting and forecasting process by working with regional sales, finance, & merchandising management and also the global brand finance and WSE teams.
o Financial and business planning, steering & monitoring performance and optimizing operating capital.
o Prepare, analyze and report financial results – sales trends, product gross margins, average net selling price analysis, direct operating expenses and inventory and balance sheet items
o Analyze Salomon WSE North America results versus budget, forecast and prior year (sales, margins, operating expenses and inventory management) and drive actions needed to meet financial targets & overall brand objectives
o Provide financial impact analysis of sales program/discounting structures including:
§ Sales volume rebate agreements
§ Coop agreement analysis
§ Warranty/defective allowance analysis
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
o Managerial and legal reporting using SAP, Oracle and Hyperion
o Conduct monthly financial reviews & governance meetings with Brand Leadership & Regional teams
o Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis of financial data to support decision making on channels, customers, programs, etc.
o Enhance management reporting in order to improve communication of critical information and maintain accountability for financial performance, to individuals at all levels in the organization
- Perform internal and external benchmark analysis on key business areas and identify opportunities to improve operations and deliver more profitable growth.
- Support Sales and Operational Planning Process
o Inventory management/working capital analysis & forecasting
o DSI/inventory turnover/sell-thru analysis
o Replenishment order review and analysis
o Primary Salomon WSE North America Finance liaison with Global & Regional Brand Teams
