Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the resident’s physical and emotional well-being for those residents living at Amen Assisted Living. This position assists residents with tasks of daily living as indicated on the Service Agreement, the Medication Administration Record (MAR), and other services as delegated by the RN.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Document patient information
- Administer medication as directed by RN
- Lead activities for residents
- Other responsibilities related to resident care needs
Qualifications
- High School education/GED required
- CNA/ NAR or HHA Certificate (preferred, but not required)
- Experience in working with older adults (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and documentation, including medical terminology, in English
- Be punctual with a good attendance record
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Understand how to use, carry and be responsible for the cell phone while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently liftmin items up to 10 pounds. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers using lifts or other mobility aids if needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
