Position Description: Responsible for the operation, management, care and safety of the vessel as well as the safety and well-being of the crew and passengers.
- Perform duties outlined by the vessel Station Bill.
- Responsible for the operation of the vessel and the employment of the crew in a safe and efficient manner to carry out the assigned missions of the vessel.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable rules and regulations for all governing agencies including but not limited to the USCG and gaming control.
- Maintain proper order and discipline on board at all times.
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
- Be proficient in marlinespike seamanship, ship handling and knowledgeable in mooring principles.
- Be informed of all repairs and maintenance aboard the vessel.
- Ensure all emergency systems onboard the vessel are operational, up to date, and in compliance with all regulations at all times.
Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a 100 Ton License.
- Must possess all required licenses for a Master.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Five (5) years of experience in the same or similar position preferred.
- Must have a good sense of reason and the ability to effectively and efficiently resolve difficult and stressful situations.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any other necessary licenses and/or certifications.
