KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across validation, including firmware, simulation model and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives
- Develop and debug firmware for power management features in AMD products
- Collaborate with SoC and platform architects to define power management requirements and test plans
- Support silicon bring-up, pre-silicon simulation/emulation debug activities
- Supervise and mentor a team of firmware engineers, fostering growth through coaching and technical guidance.
- Lead firmware simulation model development
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C , Python)
- Debug techniques and methodologies
- Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of embedded system firmware development and debugging
- Experience with RTOS, multicore/multithreaded firmware development
- Knowledge of SoC architecture, low-power optimization techniques in silicon devices
- Knowledge of firmware simulation flow, model development and firmware testability with an understanding of model limitations
- Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion with strong leadership
- Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering

Salary : $157,040 - $235,560
